Children in poverty are vulnerable and face uncertainties in future. As a sponsor, your monthly gift of $40 will give your sponsored child access to life-changing benefits that will empower them with education, educational support and life skills to thrive in tomorrow’s world.This is a community based initiative as children will be living within their norms and values with local support networks. As a sponsor, you will get ongoing updates to keep you informed through letters and photos from your child and Phakamani 'Arise' leadership team. There will be room to visit the child, their families and school through the local partner Church. You will be notified and given a chance to learn about key programs specifically designed to address children's hardest issues in fighting poverty holistically.

After School Program
After schools clubs are a great way of keeping children engaged and occupied.Children get a chance to build social skills through interacting with peers who have similar interests. Children’s personalities get molded and shaped as they get to spend more time with their educators and guidance counselors. Phakamani “Arise” currently offers the following clubs:

Parent / Guardian Empowerment
Phakamani 'Arise' uses a holistic approach that offers an empowerment model with the hope to reduce and end poverty in children and families in our communities. In partnership with churches, we group and choose both men and women that are a good fit for the parent/guardian loan criteria. Chosen groups are loaned money for a period of 1 year to start an incoming generating project of their own choice. This model allows parents and guardians in churches to work together, pray together and support each other as they are trained to run projects that lead to sustainability and betterment of their families and communities . The loan paid back to Phakamani “Arise” will be used to continue helping the needy in starting projects of their choice which leads to sustainability and poverty eradication.
Church Leadership Training
Flexible, structured and interactive practical oriented leadership modules accessible to different participating Churches. Learning resources that address contemporary leadership challenges leading to effective development of ministry leaders who are able to engage and bring long lasting transformation in their Churches and communities.
